- Chocolate Layers:
- 150g milk chocolate
- 150g dark chocolate
- Kataifi Layer:
- 1 cup kataifi pastry (shredded phyllo dough)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
- Filling:
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 1/2 cup pistachio cream
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar (optional, to taste)
- Garnish:
- 2 tbsp chopped pistachios
- 2 tbsp chocolate shavings (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Kataifi Pastry:
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Toss the kataifi pastry with melted butter until evenly coated.
- Spread it out on a baking tray and bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden and crispy. Let it cool completely.
- Prepare the Filling:
- In a bowl, mix pistachio cream, tahini, and powdered sugar until smooth. Adjust sweetness as desired.
- Melt the Chocolate:
- Melt the milk and dark chocolate together using a double boiler or microwave in short intervals, stirring frequently.
- Assemble the Bars:
- Line a small rectangular mold or pan with parchment paper.
- Pour a thin layer of melted chocolate into the mold and spread evenly. Chill in the refrigerator for 5 minutes to set slightly.
- Spread a layer of the pistachio-tahini filling over the chocolate.
- Add a layer of the toasted kataifi pastry, pressing it down gently.
- Pour the remaining melted chocolate over the top, ensuring it fully covers the layers. Tap the mold to release air bubbles.
- Garnish and Set:
- Sprinkle chopped pistachios and chocolate shavings over the top.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until fully set.
- Serve:
- Carefully remove the chocolate bar from the mold and slice into individual bars.
